On Sunday, May 22 – exactly 10 years since Princeton Medical Center (PMC) opened – Penn Medicine Princeton Health kicked off anniversary festivities with cupcake deliveries to hospital units.
The celebration continued May 25 with a breakfast buffet in the Schreyer Education Center followed by lunch and dinner cookouts near the Healthcare Heroes Garden.
Around midday on May 25, Princeton Health CEO James Demetriades opened the hospital’s time capsule – originally set to remain sealed for 25 years – to add new mementos of major events in PMC’s first decade: becoming part of Penn Medicine in 2018; celebrating the health system’s centennial in 2019; and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The day closed with a 10th birthday party for a very special guest: Ines Cadjee, the first person born at PMC when it opened May 22, 2012.
