Jefferson Health’s three New Jersey acute care hospitals – Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital, Jefferson Stratford Hospital and Jefferson Washington Township Hospital – have each been honored with a 2021 Hospital Quality & Safety Award by the Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health (GPBCH). The awards were announced at the Inaugural GPBCH Hospital Quality and Safety Awards virtual event, held March 3, and then presented to Jefferson Health – New Jersey leadership in person. Hosted by GPBCH and the Health Care Improvement Foundation, the awards program brings together healthcare leaders and employers to discuss the value of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey and Safety Grade in driving safety, and to recognize top performing hospitals in our region.
This year’s winners were selected based on their 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Survey and Safety Grade results. Jefferson’s New Jersey hospitals each received “A” grades in the Spring and Fall 2021 Leapfrog Safety Reports; Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital and Jefferson Stratford Hospital additionally were each named a Top Teaching Hospital nationally by The Leapfrog Group in 2021. GPBCH’s employer members represent more than 1.5 million lives, and have made healthcare quality and safety a priority in their benefits plans.
